Also an update on my plans (because I think they are exciting!). Tonight I was invited to a concert of "ancient" Russian romances (starinnye romansy), which I hope will be fantastic. And this weekend I will very likely go to Yulia Leonidovna's (the woman I will be living with in the center of Riga) summer house, which is somewhere very beautiful, possibly by the sea.
I didn't make it to the fortress on Wednesday because my meeting at the TB center was too long, but apparently it is totally wild, abandoned, with trees growing through houses, and the fortress walls surrounded by a well and the sense of history in it. So I hope later I will go.
